No Christmas presents but a small step into a better future

Aachen, 18th December 2018 - Due to the fact that so many countries have difficulties with different issues, we want to donate the budget we usually spend on Christmas presents. We believe that this is the best way to match the origin of Christmas. The awareness of shared responsibility may bring us closer together than any other gesture of solidarity.

Our donation goes to Pacific Garbage Screening, an environmental project from Aachen. The founder Marcella Hansch visited us today in our Aachen office to receive a cheque for the amount of 1.250 €. Marcella and her team leave a remarkable footprint in this world. We would like to express our deepest ‘thank you’ to everyone involved, volunteers and other supporters.

Personnel consultancy Frettwork is building foundation for long-term growth

January, 8th 2018 - By relocating their new office into “westTor”, Personnel consultancy Frettwork is driving their strategy for growth forward. At January 15th, the team will move to the new and bigger premises in the exclusive office building within proximity of the Dutch border.

On the 4th floor, the five-member team will have 150m2 to their availability. The wonderfully bright office spaces will allow for creative and efficient working. State of the art in-house communication infrastructure provides a reliable means of conducting interviews with candidates from all over the world. A big conference room will serve as a space for face-to-face interviews, coaching, candidate trainings and seminars.

The “westTor” office building is situated in the west of Aachen, in close proximity of the university hospital, various RWTH Aachen University institutes as well as the new campus Melaten. The two towers of this building are often considered as the “western gate to Vaals”, the Netherlands, presumably giving the complex its name.

“Architecturally, the building is very appealing which fits our business. First, being the ‘gateway to the Netherlands’, it visualises our high ambitions to grow into the neighbouring country”, Barbara Frett explains excitedly. “Second, for a personnel consultancy, the proximity to the RWTH and Campus Melaten is enormously important.”

Next to opening Frettwork international B.V. in Landgraaf (NL) and the office in the Rhine-Main region (Großwallstadt) in April 2017, as well as recruiting several new staff members, the relocation to the new premises – that are almost three times as big as the old office – forms the next step towards expansion and growth for Frettwork network GmbH.

Moreover, the experienced HR manager shows strategic foresight: “We now have sufficient space to expand ourteam without having the need to move again.”

As of January 15th 2018, the new business address of Frettwork network GmbH is as follows: Vaalser Straße 259, 52074 Aachen.

Offspring at Frettwork

Aachen, 18th October 2017 – Offspring arrived at the recruitment agency Frettwork network GmbH.

On 9th October 2017, Eda Sarikurt started her vocational education as a commercial assistant. To accomodate the companies’ explosive growth, Frettwork invests in fostering young talent.

“As a recruitment agency, we are aware of the tense job market conditions, especially in Aachen”, explains manager Barbara Frett. “Since the company was founded, supporting our own offspring is a main focus because we attach great value to long-term sustainable personnel management. Currently, we have two trainees in the commercial area and in 2018 a third training position will open.”

Next to youth-training, Barbara Frett focusses on strategic development and continued growth of employees. To this aim, her executive employee Tom Lankes is preparing himself for the IHK trainer course exam.

Starting December 2017, the training programme at Frettwork will be under his supervision.

“I’m proud to take my examination in workplace pedagogy and to supervise the training programme at Frettwork. The company is merely two-and-a-half years old and continues to grow in a very dynamic market. From an early stage, our trainees roll up their sleeves and are involved in our projects. The often described ‘hands-on mentality’ is part of our daily activities.”

By employing Eda Sarikurt the Frettwork team expanded to eight people.

Opportunities for the youth

Aachen, 30th June 2016 – In times when specialists and training places fall short, it’s important to offer youth a safe future, hence Frettwork takes the responsibility as an employer and will start training in 2016.

“I always took particular interest in initial vocational education. We need to give young people the opportunity to integrate themselves into the community”, says Barbara Frett, founder and manager of Frettwork network GmbH. “Trainees start contributing to the company from an early stage. We should make use of these talents and foster them by providing vocational training.”

Thus, Barbara Frett followed her personal guiding principles and accepted the first trainee in office management. Starting this year, he will start his vocational qualification in office management in which he will work on sophisticated office and business processes. This in 2014 implemented apprenticeship unifies the three formerly profiles “commercial clerk”, “office clerk” and “office communication assistant” under a new job description.

This combination allows for a clearly structured and modern sector-specific offer. Through this extensive offer, the trainee is provided with the ideal circumstances to work independently while forming a good base for his professional future.
